Market Rented and Rent To Buy
We have a number of Market Rent properties that are let without the restrictions contained within our Selection and Allocation policy. To be accepted for one of these properties, you must be working and be able to pass a credit check to ensure you are able to afford the rental.These properties are let on an Assured Shorthold basis and the rents are set at market rent levels. You would be required to pay a month’s rent up front and a month’s rent as a deposit, which is the protected in the Deposit Protection Service.
We have a mixture of flats and houses in the following areas of Essex and Suffolk:-
Southend, South Ockendon, Barking, Dunmow, Waltham Abbey and 50 houses in Rendlesham, Suffolk.

Rent to Buy
We have a small number of 1 bed flats that are available for rent under the Rent to Buy scheme. This is where an applicant will be able to live in a property at a discounted rent for a period of 2 years in order to save a deposit to buy the property. All applicants must register with the Government’s appointed agents. The Rent to Homebuy agents for the East and South East of England are BPHA.
