Mindful Employer Logo Blue Mindful Employer Charter

Estuary has been a signatory of the Mindful Employer Charter for Employers who are Positive about Mental Health since 2011.  The charter is a voluntary agreement seeking to support employers in working within the spirit of its positive approach. 

The Charter is one element of the ‘Mindful Employer’  initiative which is aimed at increasing awareness of mental health in the workplace and supporting businesses in recruiting and retaining staff. 

A wide range of employers from all over the UK are involved in the initiative which gives businesses and organisations easier access to information, practical support, training, networks and assistance from other employers. 

Mindful Employer is a UK-wide initiative run by Workways, part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust. More information can be found at

Estuary Housing Association is a member of the CIH Charter for Housing Equality & Diversity.

The UK is an increasingly diverse and tolerant place to live. However, equality and diversity challenges still remain in society and they affect housing in particular ways. CSE - Customer Service ExcellenceCustomer Service Excellence Award

Estuary Housing Association is proud to announce that it is one of the first Registered Providers to retain its Customer Service Excellence award, following the first of its annual rolling inspections. Estuary was also amongst the first of the Housing Associations to obtain the Customer Service Excellence award during 2009 ans it has retained the award during its annual inspection, year on year


The CSE Inspector congratulated Estuary on the quality of their CSE submission and their further improvement since last year’s CSE Inspection, awarding them ‘compliance plus’ ratings in four categories.

Disability Confident Logo Disability Confident Employer

We’re delighted to have been awarded level 2 Disability Confident Employer status by the Department of Work & Pensions in 2016. This means we have demonstrated that we’re taking positive action to attract, recruit and retain disabled people. 
This includes a Job Interview Guarantee Scheme, where we have committed to offer every disabled candidate an interview, provided they meet their skills and experience meet the minimum criteria for the role.

In September 2017 we received the national award for Quality Assured Scrutiny. The award is presented on behalf of TPAS, CIH and Housemark. We are very proud of our resident Scrutiny panel and The Customer and Community Engagement team for achieving such a prestigious award.
