Consumer Standards for Social Housing

Reshaping Consumer Regulation
The new Consumer Standards for Social Housing are set to take effect in April 2024.
The standards are based on the Social Housing White Paper, the main aim of which is to keep social housing tenants safe. The Regulator of Social Housing asked for the views of tenants and landlords on the new standards and the consultation closed on Tuesday 17th October 2023.
The consultation focused on the following areas:
- Safety and Quality.
- Transparency, Influence and Accountability.
- The Neighbourhood and Community Standard.
- The Tenancy Standard.
The Consultation is Now Closed

The consultation closed on Tuesday 17 October 2023.
While the survey is closed, the documents and information are still available at the moment. We don't know how long they'll be available; they're all on the Consumer Standards part of the gov.uk website, which is away from ours.
Just to say again, if you did take part in the consultation, we won’t know, or have access to the information you provided.
If you would like to read the documents in full, or see a more accessible version, these can all be found at https://bit.ly/ConsumerStandardsEasyRead.
As soon as we have any further information, we'll update this page.
