Hospital Liaison Project
We believe everyone should have equal access to healthcare
We are working with Basildon Hospital to improve the experiences in healthcare for people we support.
People with learning disabilities have not always experienced equal access to hospital services and we want to work with the hospital to change this.
We have been collecting data on hospital admissions for some of the people we support. We will use this to identify key issues and make recommendations for improved working.
We hope that our approach will also inspire others to work better together.
Alice Owen, who has been leading on this project said “I’m excited to be working on this project. By listening and working together, I think we can really make a difference and improve the experiences of the people we support.”
Alice has put together a short presentation about the project which has now been updated - Hospital Liaison Project Update.pdf [584KB]
