  5. Time to check your heating

    Time to check your heating

Time to check your central heating!

Leaves are starting to fall and so is the temperature. We would like to ask all residents to switch their heating on over the weekend, and check that its working, you can do this by:

    • Make sure all of the radiator valves are turned on and set to maximum.
    • Turn your thermostat to maximum.
    • Turn your central heating on.
    • After 15 minutes check all the radiators are hot with no cold spots.

If there are cold spots, or any of the radiators are cold, its likely to be air in the system and you will need to ‘bleed’ your radiator. Keys to do this can be purchased from any good DIY shop and British Gas have produced a You Tube video on how to do this -

If you followed the steps above and are still having problems please contact Axis Gas on 0300 304 5000 who will send out a Gas Safe registered Engineer to assist.
