Customer Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Forum Launched by the Resident Voice and Influence Panel
A Customer Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Forum has been launched by the Resident Voice and Influence Panel (RVIP), reflecting their commitment to ensuring that under-represented voices are heard and that the experiences of all our customers are recognised and valued.
During recent meetings, the RVIP highlighted feedback shared through the EDI Forum about the importance of feeling respected in one’s own home. One practical example raised was the positive impact of staff and contractors offering to wear shoe coverings when entering customers’ homes. Although a small gesture, it represents a tangible way of demonstrating courtesy and acknowledging the diverse needs, expectations and lived experiences of our customers.
Action: In response to insights from the EDI Forum, all staff and contractors will be expected to carry shoe coverings and proactively offer to wear them when entering a customer’s home. This action reflects our commitment to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion in every interaction.
