Community Support

We provide Community Support throughout the Maldon and Castle Point areas.

We provide care and support to people living with learning disabilities, mental health issues and/or physical disabilities at home and within their local communities.

Support can range from as little as 30 minutes per week to 24 hours per day. We offer individuals tailored, one-to-one support in areas of their daily life with the goal of promoting independence, health and wellbeing.

Our services are driven and led by our customer’s needs and preferences.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and we are inspected to ensure that we provide high quality care and support.

We take an innovative approach to support and engagement and believe great things can be achieved when people connect with their communities.

In addition to individual support, our service arranges additional activities which aim to prevent loneliness, increase social interaction, help people to form strong and meaningful friendships and feel more connected to their communities.

These include:

  • Awareness workshops
  • Walking groups
  • Community service activities (such as litter picking and fundraising in a local carnival)
  • Safety and health & wellbeing awareness events and
  • A customer feedback group chaired by our customers.

Some of our customers participate in the annual Maldon Carnival and help raise money for worthy causes.

Our service aims to deliver positive outcomes to our customers; to benefit their health and wellbeing, enable them to live healthier, more independent lives and improve their opportunities for employment.
