Delta receives Stonewall Proud Employers Innovation Award!

Proud Employers Trophy

We’re delighted to share that Delta Housing has won a Stonewall Proud Employers Innovation Award 2026, recognising the impact of our EDI Champions programme and our ongoing commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

The award was presented at the Stonewall Proud Employers Summit, held at the CMS offices in London, where organisations from across the UK came together to share learning, innovation and good practice on LGBTQIA+ inclusion at work.

EDI Lead Gemma, Senior Sponsor Julie and EDI Champion Stacey attended the event to represent Delta and receive our award.

As part of the summit, we were also invited to take part in the Innovation Award knowledge‑sharing session. Gemma delivered a talk to delegates highlighting our approach, what we’ve achieved and learned, and what others can take away from it.

The Innovation Award recognises work that is creative, people‑centred and impactful. For Delta, this reflects a simple but powerful belief, that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and able to be themselves at work.

Our Champions are trained, supported and connected, acting as visible points of contact, arranging meaningful events, offering peer support, challenging discrimination and helping to keep inclusion rooted in lived experience.

This award belongs to everyone who has contributed to this journey. A huge thank you goes to all of our EDI Champions, whose energy, honesty and care have driven this work forward alongside their day jobs.

Special thanks go to Stacey, whose support and dedication throughout the accreditation process was invaluable, and to Julie, our Senior Sponsor for the EDI Champions, for her visible leadership, advocacy and unwavering commitment to inclusion.

We are proud of what has been recognised, and even more proud of the culture we continue to build together. As Delta grows, this award reminds us that meaningful inclusion is built through people, consistency and care.
