A Reflection on ADHD
We understand the world, but the world doesn’t always understand us
One of our customers has kindly shared their experience of living with ADHD and being neurodivergent.
They noted that children with ADHD are often perceived as “naughty” or unable to concentrate — not because they don’t want to focus, but because ADHD affects the way information is processed. This wasn’t necessarily their own experience, but reflects how many children with ADHD are misunderstood.
They explained that for many people with ADHD, understanding information isn’t the issue — the challenge lies in accessing or processing it. Without the right tools or support, managing appointments, finances, or relationships can be more difficult.
Their experience has made them passionate about encouraging organisations to think differently and ask: “How can we make it easier?”
For them, email contact works best. It allows them to manage appointments, keep records, and stay organised.
We’re really grateful to them for sharing their story and helping us understand how we can continue improving how we communicate and support our customers.
